Fresh political intrigue has emerged within Nigeria’s opposition landscape following recent court developments involving the African Democratic Congress (ADC), with insider sources linked to the OK Movement claiming that key political figures are reassessing their positions.

According to the sources, Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are reportedly reflecting on their political calculations amid growing uncertainty surrounding the party’s future.

The insiders alleged that discussions within the camp suggest the two politicians may have been better served focusing on securing strong positions during party primaries rather than distancing themselves from the ADC at a critical political moment.

The report also points to concerns over the perceived national acceptability of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), with some within the movement said to be questioning whether the platform possesses the broad appeal needed to mount a formidable electoral challenge.

Neither Obi nor Kwankwaso has publicly commented on the claims, which come as opposition figures continue to weigh coalition strategies and political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections.
