Corps members of the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 have been advised to maximize their skills and talents by adopting a productive approach to entrepreneurship.
The Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs and Information Department at the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Mr. Chris Chukwudi Nweze, gave the advice in Abuja during an orientation lecture at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa.

He emphasized that merely starting a business is not enough but ensuring its growth and sustainability is key.
“Entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business; it is about making that business thrive. Many people venture into business without the right productivity mindset, and that is why they struggle. A productive mindset, coupled with dedication, discipline, and efficient resource management, is what guarantees long-term success.”
Also speaking, the Public Relations Officer of the Centre and the Technical Adviser to the Director General, National Productivity Centre, Mr. Victor Ainoko, urged Nigerians to embrace productivity as a means of improving their quality of life. He pointed out that productivity remains a key determinant of success and personal growth.
“The difference between individuals and the results they achieve in life is not just about what they have, but how effectively they manage their resources and affairs. Productivity is essential for growth, success, and a better standard of living.”
Mr. Ainoko reiterated that the NPC, under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, was committed to promoting a culture of efficiency and resourcefulness among Nigerians.
Meanwhile, three corps members, Jerald James, Adiele Onyekachi, and Peace Haruna, told our correspondent that they would embrace self-employment instead of relying solely on white-collar jobs.
