Nigeria’s Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) unleashed a staggering ₦2.001 trillion in July 2025 revenue, divvied up among the federal, state, and local governments, signaling a robust economic pulse despite a dip in statutory collections.

The total gross revenue hit an eye-popping ₦3.837 trillion, but after slicing off ₦152.681 billion for collection costs and earmarking ₦1.683 trillion for transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings, the FAAC pot was still brimming. However, statutory revenue took a hit, sliding to ₦3.070 trillion—a ₦415.108 billion drop from June’s ₦3.485 trillion haul.

On the flip side, Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue surged, climbing to ₦687.940 billion, a solid ₦9.775 billion boost from June’s ₦678.165 billion, showing consumer spending remains a bright spot.

The Federal Government bagged a hefty ₦735.081 billion, while states pocketed ₦660.349 billion, and local councils scored ₦485.039 billion. Oil-producing states struck gold with ₦120.359 billion in derivation revenue—13% of mineral earnings—fueling regional development.
