Senator Kashim Shettima the Nigeria Vice President visit to Lafia the Nasarawa State Capital was a record breaking official visit as he performed Three impactful functions of national development
The one day working visit to Nasarawa State centered round the graduation of over 1000 trained technicians of the Wing Commander Ibrahim Abdullahi Vocational and Technical Institute.
The graduating technical students were drawn from across states of the federation and trained into different technical skills.
The Vice President also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Nasarawa Investment Development Agency’s (NASIDA) head office and the Multi Outdoor Court funded by the World Bank through a $4 million facility.
He also distributed tractors to local government chairmen, provided rice seedlings, and offer relief materials to internally displaced persons affected by floods.
The gesture demonstrates the federal government’s commitment to supporting flood victims, with approximately N3 billion received from the FG to support affected communities
