NDC Strengthens Media Strategy with High-Profile Communications Appointments

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the appointment of Agada Abuh Theophilus as Director of New Media and Strategic Communications and Brian Dennis as Deputy Director, in a move aimed at strengthening the party’s communication strategy and expanding its engagement with Nigerians.

The appointments, approved by the party’s leadership, form part of the NDC’s broader efforts to enhance its public messaging and digital outreach ahead of future political engagements.

Agada Abuh Theophilus, widely known in political and strategic communications circles, brings extensive experience spanning political campaign management, corporate branding, institutional public relations and new media strategy. An Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), he holds a Master’s degree in Development Communications with a specialisation in strategic communication for social and institutional development. He is also pursuing a PhD focused on election administration and management.

Brian Dennis joins the party’s communications team as Deputy Director, bringing seven years of experience in strategic and political communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution and has built a reputation as a communications analyst with expertise in public engagement and policy communication.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, the NDC expressed confidence that the appointments would inject fresh energy, innovation and professional expertise into its media operations.

“The party is excited to welcome both appointees and looks forward to the energy, expertise and fresh perspective they bring to its communications efforts,” the statement said.

According to the NDC, the new leadership of its media and strategic communications directorate is expected to strengthen the party’s public voice, improve its digital presence and deepen engagement with Nigerians across traditional and emerging media platforms.
