The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has announced that only aspirants who emerge victorious in the party’s primary elections will be required to pay nomination fees and complete the final documentation process.
Dickson said the move forms part of the party’s efforts to promote internal democracy, fairness, and transparency in the selection of candidates ahead of forthcoming elections.
According to him, the decision is aimed at easing the financial burden on aspirants while ensuring that only duly elected candidates proceed with the formal nomination procedures.
The former Bayelsa State governor reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to a credible and inclusive political process, stressing that the party remains focused on strengthening democratic values within its ranks.
