The National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has urged affected pilgrims to remain patient following complications with late registrations.
The commission’s spokesperson stated that despite repeated warnings from NAHCON about strict Saudi deadlines, some registrations were completed after key official portals had closed. This issue arose after Saudi Arabia approved additional slots for Nigeria, but the approval came too late to be processed through the now-closed online systems.
“Approval for the additional slots was received after Saudi’s key operational portals had closed,” the spokesperson explained.
NAHCON has assured the public that efforts are ongoing to address the situation and has advised all affected pilgrims to stay calm and await further updates.
