In a recent interview on Arise Television, Minister of Works and former Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his hands-off approach, allowing the Ministry of Works to make significant strides in Nigeria’s infrastructure development.
“There’s no decision we ever took in the Ministry of Works in terms of new policies to drive his agenda that he ever reversed. It means we have the confidence to drive his agenda,” he said.
Umahi stated that President Tinubu gave the ministry a free hand to work without interference, empowering them to execute innovative policies to drive the president’s agenda forward.
“He’s a man of courage and has vast knowledge in infrastructural development. We are lucky to follow a leader who understands that infrastructure is a catalyst for national development,” Umahi said, highlighting Tinubu’s expertise in the field.
Reflecting on his own achievements as Ebonyi State governor, Umahi credited his success to passion, divine inspiration, and a hands-on approach. He emphasized that the projects in Ebonyi State, such as the international airport, malls, and concrete road networks, were born from his vision and dedication to serving the people.
Umahi also called on Nigerians to move past associating government projects with corruption and instead focus on the positive impact that committed service can bring to the nation.
