Midnight Raid on Senator’s Home: Gunmen Target Natasha’s Family

In the early hours of Tuesday, April 16, 2025, the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Obeiba-Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, was allegedly attacked by unidentified gunmen.
Intelligence reports indicate that at approximately 1:00 a.m., at least three armed individuals stormed the property. The assailants reportedly vandalized parts of the building, including shattering window glasses.
The Senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, promptly reported the attack to security agencies. Officers from the Okehi Division responded swiftly to a distress call and arrived at the scene.
Fortunately, no injuries were sustained by anyone present in the residence. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Security officials have conducted an assessment of the damage, and preliminary investigations have been launched.
According to police sources cited by Zagazola Makama, the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents the Kogi Central Senatorial District, has yet to issue a public statement regarding the incident.
Authorities are actively pursuing their investigations to determine the motive for the attack and to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible.
