In a vibrant kickoff at Bodija Market, Ibadan, Governor Seyi Makinde declared that a win for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Folajimi Oyekunle in the August 16 Ibadan North federal constituency by-election will solidify the party’s stronghold in Oyo State. Presenting the PDP flag to Oyekunle, Makinde hailed him as a trusted and capable leader, poised to excel in the House of Representatives.

Makinde, addressing a spirited crowd, thanked Oyo residents for their unwavering support since his administration began and urged Ibadan North voters to turn out in force for Oyekunle. “This victory will send a clear message of our dominance,” he affirmed.

Ademola Omotosho, campaign director-general, echoed the call, rallying constituents to back Oyekunle, a former state lawmaker and Makinde’s ex-deputy chief of staff, on election day. With momentum building, the PDP aims to secure a resounding mandate in this pivotal by-election.
