Popular Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has opened up about how life has changed since her younger sister, Temi Otedola, got married to singer Mr. Eazi.
In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Cuppy appeared emotional as she spoke about adjusting to life without her sister around. “It’s been a tough reality check for me,” she said. “Life just hasn’t been the same since Temi got married. I miss her so much.”
Temi Otedola, a fashion entrepreneur and actress, tied the knot with her longtime partner, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr. Eazi, in a lavish ceremony held in Iceland in August. The wedding, which attracted global attention, was attended by high-profile guests, including business magnates and celebrities.
Following the ceremony, the couple shared stunning photos and videos from their big day, which were later recreated by the popular Ikorodu Bois in a viral skit. Mr. Eazi also released a music video featuring scenes from the wedding, celebrating their union.
Speaking further, DJ Cuppy, who recently returned to London, revealed that her sister’s absence has left a noticeable void in her daily life. “Even though I’m back home in London, it doesn’t feel the same without Temi. I’m really happy for her, but I miss having her around,” she added.
Her emotional revelation stirred reactions from fans, many of whom expressed understanding and empathy in the comment section.
“If you have a beautiful and close relationship with your siblings, you’d understand her better,” one fan wrote. Another commented, “I felt like this too when my sister got married—it’s hard, but you’ll adjust.”
Some fans also used the opportunity to commend the strong bond between the Otedola sisters. “Their relationship is beautiful to watch,” one follower noted, while another added, “Cuppy’s honesty makes her so relatable.”
This is not the first time DJ Cuppy has publicly expressed affection for her sister. Weeks earlier, she was spotted in church scrolling through pictures from Temi’s wedding, a moment that drew laughter and admiration online.
Meanwhile, the celebrity disc jockey has also faced criticism from social commentator Daniel Regha, who recently faulted her social media posts amid ongoing public debates. Regha accused Cuppy of being insensitive to national issues, but her supporters quickly defended her, saying she had every right to express her emotions.
