IGP Orders Probe of Fuji Musician KWAM1 Over Airport Incident

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has directed the Nigeria Police Force Airport Command to investigate Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM1, following a reported altercation with airport officials last week. The incident, which allegedly involved the musician obstructing the safe operation of an aircraft, is a potential violation of Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations.

Force spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, confirmed to Daily Trust that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) acted swiftly after the police high command received a formal petition from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The IGP has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and ensure justice is served.
