Popular Nigerian TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has ended months of speculation by openly confirming his separation from fellow content creator Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, widely recognised as Jarvis or Jadrolita.

During a TikTok livestream on Thursday, January 1, 2026, the 19-year-old influencer told thousands of viewers that the breakup was mutual and amicable, stressing that he and Jarvis remain friends. He also revealed that he had personally apologised to her family and expressed his intention to stay single throughout the new year.

“Jarvis and I have broken up and we are friends now, she said I should just varnish for now. I’ve apologized to her family members. This 2026 I want to focus and enjoy my life, I don’t want any girl around me again,” Peller said.

The announcement follows weeks of intense online conjecture, triggered partly by Peller’s recent public incident in mid-December 2025 that resulted in hospitalisation and a brief arrest “in accordance with extant traffic laws.” While details of the episode remain limited, it shifted public attention from the couple’s usual light-hearted content to concerns about Peller’s well-being and the state of their relationship.

Peller and Jarvis first captured widespread attention in 2024 when their on-screen chemistry evolved into a highly publicised romance. Jarvis, celebrated for her viral “AI robot girl” persona – complete with mechanical movements and monotone delivery – had already built a massive following for her creative skits. Peller, known for his energetic live sessions, comedic challenges, and generous gifting to fans, complemented her style perfectly. Their joint videos, pranks, and couple challenges quickly became TikTok staples, drawing millions of views and turning them into one of Nigeria’s most adored young influencer pairs.

The relationship resonated strongly with Gen Z audiences, blending humour, relatability, and aspirational content. Collaborative livestreams often attracted tens of thousands of concurrent viewers, while brand deals and endorsements flowed in for both creators. For many fans, “Peller and Jarvis” represented a refreshing, youthful love story in Nigeria’s bustling digital space, where TikTok has grown into a major platform for entertainment and income generation.

However, cracks began to appear towards the end of 2025. Subtle changes in their posting patterns – fewer joint appearances and cryptic captions – fuelled breakup rumours across social media. The speculation intensified after Peller’s December incident, with some fans linking the stress of public scrutiny to strain on the relationship.

Peller’s decision to address the matter directly reflects a maturing approach to his public image. By emphasising personal growth and peace of mind for 2026, he signalled a shift towards individual branding. “I want to focus and enjoy my life,” he reiterated, a statement likely to resonate with followers who have watched him navigate rapid fame from humble beginnings.

For Jarvis, who has continued posting her signature robot content independently, the split allows room to expand her already distinctive niche. Her AI character remains one of TikTok Nigeria’s most recognisable acts, proving her appeal extends beyond couple dynamics.

The Nigerian influencer scene, valued at billions of naira through sponsorships and gifting, often sees relationships become central to creators’ growth. Breakups can impact engagement metrics, yet many influencers successfully pivot to solo content. Peller and Jarvis, both still in their early careers with loyal fan bases, appear well-positioned to thrive separately.
