Yesterday, His Royal Highness Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu II, the Ejeh Ankpa and Chairman of the Ankpa Traditional Council, paid a courtesy visit to Mohammed F. Sheidu, Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, to discuss security challenges affecting Ankpa and possible areas of collaboration.
During the meeting, the monarch outlined pressing security concerns in the Ankpa area and urged infrastructural upgrades at the Ankpa police station to improve operational effectiveness. Discussions also focused on ways to strengthen local policing, support police operations and advance community development initiatives.
Mr. Sheidu welcomed the Ejeh’s input, acknowledging the important role traditional institutions play in promoting peace and grassroots security. Both parties expressed commitment to exploring partnerships that would enhance policing capacity and community safety in Ankpa. Plans for follow-up engagements were reported to be under consideration.
