A frontline governorship aspirant in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has said the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 will help stabilise Nigeria and strengthen the economy.

Babayemi made this known during a ward-to-ward visit across Ayedire Local Government Area. Speaking to party members at Olupona Wards 1 and 2, and Oke-Osun Ward 4, he called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prioritise Tinubu’s return to power in the next general election.

“President Tinubu has started reforms that are already yielding positive results,” Babayemi said. “We must allow him to continue the work so that Nigeria can find its footing and move forward.”

According to him, the APC in Osun is working tirelessly to win the 2026 governorship election, just as the national leadership is focused on sustaining the gains of the current administration.

Babayemi, who recently concluded consultations with stakeholders across the 30 local councils, is now visiting all 332 wards in the state. He said his aim is to deepen grassroots mobilisation and unify party members ahead of the crucial elections.

He added, “This is not just about Osun. It’s about Nigeria. A second term for President Tinubu means continuity and greater stability for our country.”

Observers Times reports that Babayemi’s remarks align with a growing trend of endorsements for Tinubu’s second term from across the political spectrum.
