Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing full support for his second term in office come 2027.

The governor made the declaration on Tuesday while addressing journalists in Gombe shortly after inspecting an ongoing road construction project along the Gombe-Potiskum highway.

He hailed President Tinubu’s leadership style and developmental strides, noting that Nigeria had witnessed renewed direction under his stewardship.

“President Tinubu has laid a solid foundation for progress and reforms, and we are already seeing positive results. I have no hesitation in supporting him for a second term to consolidate on these gains,” he said.

“The road inspection tour highlighted the governor’s commitment to infrastructure development in Gombe state”, a vision he said aligned with the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration.

‘The endorsement adds to a growing list of early supporters calling on President Tinubu to continue in office beyond 2027, citing his economic reforms and infrastructure initiatives.

Governor Yahaya’s statement is expected to generate political discourse within and beyond the All-Progressives Congress (APC) as the 2027 general elections draw nearer.
