The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared Ahmed Galadima winner of its governorship primary election in Adamawa State, following a sweeping victory over his closest rivals.
Announcing the results on behalf of the party’s primary election committee, the chairman said Galadima secured a commanding 414,444 votes to emerge as the APC’s flagbearer for the governorship race in the state.
His closest challenger, Abdulrazak Namdas, polled 86,004 votes, while Abdulrahman Haske garnered 65,934 votes.
The outcome cements Galadima’s dominance within the party ahead of the governorship contest, with the primary seen as a crucial test of political influence and grassroots support in the state.
The APC leadership is expected to forward Galadima’s name to Nigeria’s electoral authorities following the conclusion of the primary process.
