Four Nigerian soldiers sustained injuries following a vehicle accident on the challenging terrain of the Mambilla Plateau in Taraba State on Thursday,
The troops were navigating the mountainous region when the accident occurred. The Emir of Mambilla, Dr. Shehu Audu Baju, personally participated in the rescue operation to ensure the soldiers received immediate assistance.
“The Emir’s involvement was crucial in coordinating prompt help for the injured soldiers,” a local source confirmed.
The wounded personnel were swiftly evacuated to the 20 Battalion Barracks in Serti for emergency medical treatment.
Community members and traditional leaders have expressed deep sympathy for the soldiers and urged for enhanced safety measures for all security operatives deployed in the area. They also prayed for the swift and full recovery of those injured.
