Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has weighed in on Rivers State politics, urging Governor Siminalayi Fubara to use his political comeback as an opportunity for personal improvement.
Speaking on the developments in the southern state, Fayose stressed that Fubara’s return to the political forefront should not only focus on power but also on leadership maturity and accountability.
“The coming back of Governor Fubara should make him a better person,” Fayose said, highlighting the importance of integrity and performance in governance.
Fayose’s remarks come amid ongoing political manoeuvring in Rivers State, where Fubara’s influence and decisions remain closely watched by both supporters and critics.
The former governor’s commentary adds to the growing discourse on leadership and ethical governance in Nigeria, especially as state politics continue to shape national dynamics.
Fayose, known for his candid and often outspoken perspectives, has previously commented on the responsibilities of political leaders, stressing that public office demands more than ambition—it requires personal growth and commitment to the people.
