Ebonyi airport to begin commercial flight June 13

The Ebonyi state government Monday said it will commence commercial flight Abakaliki to Lagos and Abuja to on 13th June.

They also announced reduced in the price of flight tickets.

Dr. Mrs Ngozj Obichukwu the state commissioner for Aviation disclosed this to journalists in Abakaliki.

Obichukwu announced the readiness of the Airport to commence full operation, noting that It will begin with the United Nigeria airways.

“We are able to push on in the airport. And so far so good. we are 100% sure that the viability

is assured. So we are commencing the commercial flight with United Nigeria Airline. We chose them because they are indigenous, and they are with us.

“There are other airlines that are equally willing, like the Air peace had already operated. So the United will equally be operating with us from now on.

“By the grace of God, our dear governor has made it so affordable. He has the price to 100,000 Naira.  If you are going to Abuja, 100,000 Naira. If you are coming from Abuja, the same 100 to and fro Lagos. And I’m sure he’s doing it just to celebrate”.
