Rivers Governor Calls for Collective Action, Emphasizes Good Governance in Easter Address
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has used the occasion of Easter to call for reconciliation and unity, urging the people of the state to align with President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.” In his Easter message, Fubara also reiterated his commitment to delivering tangible democratic dividends to the citizens of Rivers State.
In a statement released on Saturday, Governor Fubara emphasized the significance of Easter as a period of reconciliation and unity, highlighting its potential to mend broken relationships and provide comfort to the afflicted.
“Easter is a sacred season of reconciliation and unity. It is a time when the peace of Christ dwells richly in our hearts, restoring relationships, comforting the afflicted, feeding the hungry, and healing the brokenhearted,” Fubara stated.
He further stressed the message of hope inherent in the Easter narrative, asserting that even in the face of adversity, new life can emerge. “This season renews our confidence that nothing — neither hardship, nor adversity, nor even death — can separate us from the love of God in Christ. In Him, we remain victorious,” he said.
Governor Fubara also used the opportunity to reaffirm his dedication to good governance, promising to deliver on the expectations of the people of Rivers State. “I reiterate my unwavering commitment to delivering good governance to the resilient and dignified people of Rivers State,” he declared.
The governor then called on the people of Rivers State to support President Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing the importance of collective action in achieving national progress. “Therefore, I call on the good people of Rivers State to continue to support and align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while looking forward to a better tomorrow,” he urged.
He concluded his message by encouraging unity and cooperation, stating, “Let us not lose sight of our collective strength. The transformation we all desire is achievable when we act together as one people under God, committed to peace, unity, and progress.”
Fubara expressed his hope that the spirit of Easter would bring peace, love, good health, and renewed strength to every home in Rivers State and beyond.
