Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, paid a high-profile visit to Zamfara State on Monday, where he held talks with Governor Dauda Lawal on football development and youth engagement through sport.
The visit, which drew attention from sports enthusiasts and local stakeholders, underscored growing collaboration between government and football authorities to harness sport as a tool for social development. Chelle was received at the Government House in Gusau, where discussions reportedly focused on nurturing grassroots talent and expanding access to football facilities across the state.

Chelle, on his part, emphasised the importance of discovering and developing talent at the grassroots level, describing northern Nigeria as a region with immense football potential.
