Supporters heading to Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will now enjoy free electronic visas, following a joint announcement by the Confederation of African Football and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee on Friday.

The new policy covers citizens of countries that normally require a visa to enter Morocco. According to CAF, the move comes as global interest in the tournament continues to rise, with ticket demand climbing ahead of the December kick-off.

“Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,” CAF said on its website.

Fans attending the tournament need two documents: a Fan ID, which grants access to stadiums and Fan Zones, and an e-visa for entry into Morocco. Both requirements can now be completed through the YALLA app, which CAF describes as a one-stop platform designed to simplify the entire travel and match-day process.

“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access,” the organisation said.

CAF added that the combined application system “ensures a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike.”

Applicants are expected to download the YALLA app via Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website. After completing the Fan ID form and, where necessary, the e-visa section, successful applicants can proceed to buy match tickets through CAF’s ticketing portal.

CAF said the new travel measures are part of wider efforts to deliver a seamless fan experience across the six host cities and nine stadiums selected for the tournament.

Morocco is hosting AFCON for the first time since 1988, and the competition is set to showcase emerging stars from across the continent. Twenty-four teams will compete for the title.
