Influencer and self‑styled relationship expert Blessing Okoro, known as Blessing CEO, has lost her second son, Bryan, while remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre, a charity official said on Friday.
The death was confirmed in a social media appeal by Amira Agiye, CEO of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who is seeking public donations to help secure Okoro’s release and settle outstanding liabilities. Agiye said she was acting with Okoro’s “full consent and authorisation.”
Okoro was remanded on June 9, 2026, after being arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja on allegations of a ₦69.15 million property fraud. A judge granted her bail of ₦20 million in July 2026 with two sureties in like sum; each surety was required to provide three years’ proof of deposits valued at ₦20 million. Okoro has remained in custody for more than two months after being unable to meet the bail conditions, Agiye said.
In her appeal, Agiye acknowledged that opinions about the influencer and her case vary, but urged compassion. “It is sad to announce to you all that Blessing CEO just lost her second son,” she wrote. “Like every one of us, she deserves compassion and an opportunity for redemption. She needs ₦20 million to meet the bail requirements. She also needs ₦36 million to pay the people she owes who brought the case against her. Please, Nigerians, let’s forgive her for the sake of that boy who is still in the mortuary.”
In a voice conversation played by Agiye, Blessing CEO reportedly spoke about the death of her son and expressed hope that she would be released so she could return home and mourn him.
“My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan. I pray this turns out positive so I can leave this place, pick up the pieces of my life and pay my respects to him,” she said.
There was no immediate response from Okoro or her legal team to requests for comment on the death or the fundraising appeal. The EFCC has not commented on the development.
