Former US President Joe Biden’s cancer has spread to his bones, according to his son, Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden said his father’s condition had become increasingly difficult for the family to watch, describing the illness as painful and debilitating.

The former president, 83, has been undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, which was diagnosed after doctors found a small nodule during a medical examination.

Hunter Biden said the disease had progressed despite the family’s efforts to support his father through treatment.

He described the situation as deeply painful for the family, while stressing the challenges of watching a loved one cope with a serious illness.

Joe Biden served as the 46th president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. Before becoming president, he spent decades in American politics, including eight years as vice-president under Barack Obama.

News of the cancer’s progression comes as the former president continues to receive treatment and maintain a relatively low public profile since leaving office.

The Biden family has previously asked for privacy as the former president undergoes treatment.
