Reality TV star and singer, Uriel Oputa, has weighed in on recent remarks made by music mogul Don Jazzy regarding his inability to remain sexually committed to one woman. Speaking on the Outside The Box Podcast, Uriel suggested that the issue may stem from the type of women he chooses to date.

“I love Don Jazzy, I love him like no other. He’s such an amazing person,” Uriel began. “But I feel like when he said that he’s unable to be sexually committed to one woman, it boils down to the type of women he goes for. If I see him, I will tell him to try a different type of women.”

The former Big Brother Naija housemate noted that many men, particularly in Nigeria, focus more on physical appearance than on deeper qualities when choosing a partner.

“A lot of the men in Nigeria don’t date for substance. They date for what they see physically, on the outside,” she said. “That translates to the majority of Nigerian men. They cannot stay with one woman because they don’t date for substance.”

Uriel argued that prioritising physical attributes in a partner often leads to dissatisfaction, as there’s always someone with a more appealing appearance. “So, you’re dating for physique; of course, you’re going to see someone with a better physique because you’re not dating for what the woman really has her mindset,” she added.

Her comments come in response to a recent revelation by Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records boss, who admitted publicly that he struggles with monogamy and cannot be sexually exclusive with just one woman.
