Big Brother Naija is returning with a bang as the organisers have confirmed that the highly anticipated Season 10 will premiere this July 2025, featuring a record-breaking grand prize of ₦150 million for the winner.
This new prize amount is the highest since the reality show first aired in 2006, signalling a bold new chapter in the show’s history. The announcement was made during a press conference held on Wednesday, where major updates about the new season were revealed.
Long-standing host and fan favourite, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, will once again return to anchor the show. Speaking at the media event, he celebrated the show’s growth over the years.
“We’ve had 197 housemates, 709 days of premium entertainment, and ₦637 million worth of prizes across nine seasons,” he noted. “Season 10 is going to be even bigger, and I can’t wait to see what the housemates bring this time.”
Last year’s edition, tagged “No Loose Guard”, introduced an unusual twist—housemates were required to audition in pairs and enter the house as duos. However, midway into the season, the contestants were unpaired, and the competition took a more intense individual form.
That season ended with Kellyrae making history as the first married winner of Big Brother Naija, walking away with a ₦100 million grand prize.
The Season 10 premiere will feature a two-day launch event, promising viewers a grand opening filled with surprises, new twists, and unforgettable entertainment. Fans across Nigeria and beyond are already building momentum for what is expected to be the most watched season yet.
The Big Brother Naija platform continues to be a major cultural phenomenon, shaping conversations, launching careers, and reflecting diverse stories from across the country. With a bigger prize, a seasoned host, and the legacy of nine dynamic seasons, all eyes are now on what Season 10 will deliver.
