Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar paid a visit to Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at his Abuja residence on Sunday, shortly after returning from an overseas trip.
Atiku confirmed the meeting on social media, stating, “I visited Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at his residence in Abuja earlier today. I am happy seeing him in good, unbroken, and unwearing spirit.”
Tambuwal, a close political ally of Atiku and fellow supporter of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), has recently been under scrutiny by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In August, the EFCC invited Tambuwal over allegations involving fraudulent cash withdrawals reportedly totalling ₦189 billion, which are said to contravene the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
