Asiwaju Engr Prince Olatunji Olusoji has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree by Vine University in America, in recognition of his unwavering commitment to education and philanthropy in Nigeria. This prestigious accolade marks another milestone in Olusoji’s lifelong mission to uplift the lives of young Nigerians and strengthen communities through access to education.

In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Olusoji dedicated the honor to millions of Nigerian children who, despite the challenges, walk barefoot to school each day. He also acknowledged the struggles of families striving to put food on the table and the communities that continue to believe in the promise of a brighter tomorrow. “This award is for every child in Nigeria who dreams of a better future despite the odds,” he stated.

Olusoji, a passionate advocate for education, emphasized the urgent need to address Nigeria’s educational crisis. Citing alarming statistics that show over 20 million Nigerian children are out of school— the highest number globally— he called on both government and private sector stakeholders to prioritize educational reforms. “Education is the foundation of societal progress, and without it, we cannot build a prosperous future for our children,” Olusoji said.

As part of his commitment to the cause, Olusoji spoke about the Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF), which he founded in 2013 to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged children. PROOF, according to Olusoji, is not just a foundation but a movement aimed at ensuring that every child, no matter their background, has access to quality education.

“The work we do through PROOF is just the beginning. We aim to reach every community and ensure no child is left behind,” he added.

The ceremony, which saw the presence of several dignitaries, was graced by a delegation from Kogi State, led by Governor Usman Ododo’s representative. During the event, Olusoji also made a monumental announcement—a donation of 100 million naira to support the Vine University Ayere project, further solidifying his dedication to improving education in Nigeria.

As the auditorium filled with cheers, it was clear that Asiwaju Engr Prince Olatunji Olusoji’s relentless efforts to improve education in Nigeria are not just celebrated in words but also backed by meaningful action. His Honorary Doctorate is a testament to his leadership, vision, and responsibility as a true advocate for change.

This award is not merely an individual achievement but a beacon of hope for millions of young Nigerians, symbolizing the power of education to transform lives and uplift entire communities. Olusoji’s work continues to inspire those committed to creating a future where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
