A spokesperson for a faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, of collaborating with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to undermine the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Chibuike Ikenga, speaking on behalf of the faction led by Tony Okocha, claimed that Amaechi has been holding secret meetings with opposition figures, including Atiku, in an effort to plot Tinubu’s removal from power.

Ikenga criticized Amaechi’s actions as a betrayal of the APC and its leadership, stating that his political maneuvers are not in the best interest of the party or the country.

According to Ikenga, Amaechi is working with Atiku to unseat the President, holding clandestine meetings in River State with his supporters. He alleged that Amaechi’s ally, Emeka Beke, is playing a role in these activities.

The chieftain further suggested that Amaechi is using his political influence within the APC and beyond to create discord and potentially divide the ruling party.

These allegations come amid rumors of internal conflicts within the APC, as key figures are reportedly in disagreement over policy decisions and appointments.
