Former Rivers State governor and frontline presidential hopeful, Rotimi Amaechi, has arrived in Port Harcourt ahead of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primaries, intensifying political activities within the party.

Amaechi touched down in Rivers State on Monday to a warm reception from party stakeholders and supporters led by the ADC governorship candidate in the state, Dr Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson, alongside other political figures.

The former minister’s arrival comes amid heightened anticipation over the party’s presidential contest, with delegates and party loyalists converging in Port Harcourt for the crucial exercise.

Supporters of the former transportation minister described his entry into the state as a major boost for the party’s fortunes ahead of the 2027 general elections, as political alignments continue to shape the race for the ADC ticket.
