The African Democratic Congress has opened the window for Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its coming Ward, Local Government, State Congresses and National Convention.

Active members who want to run for any party post can now pick up the forms, according to a notice signed by National Organising Secretary Pa Idigo and posted on X last Sunday.

Prices depend on the seat you’re chasing. At ward level, the Expression of Interest Form is N2,000. Nomination fees run to N10,000 for Ward Chairman, N5,000 for Ward Secretary and N3,000 for other ward officers.

Local Government Chairmanship hopefuls pay N40,000; LGA Secretary, N30,000; other LGA executives, N10,000 each.

State Chairmanship forms cost N500,000; State Secretary, N300,000; other state officials, N50,000 each.

For the National Convention, every delegate—one per LGA—pays N10,000.

Aspirants must also line up the prescribed number of nominators, each of whom will hand over a non-refundable N50.

– Ward Chairman needs 10 nominators, other ward posts need five apiece.
– LGA chairmanship candidate must show 20 nominators spread round the council area; other LGA posts need 10.
– State Chairmanship hopefuls must secure 50 nominators—at least one from every LGA—while other state offices require 20 each.

Sale and submission of all forms close on Friday, 27 March 2026; late entries won’t be entertained. Screening holds 30–31 March.

The congress timetable released earlier shows Polling-Unit and Ward Congresses on 7 April, LGA Congresses on 9 April, State Congresses on 11 April, and the National Convention on 14 April.
