Leke Abejide has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Yagba Federal Constituency seat after clinching a sweeping, uncontested win.
The lawmaker, who currently represents the constituency in Nigeria’s National Assembly, secured 401 votes in the primary exercise, with no rival candidate contesting against him.
The outcome further consolidates Abejide’s political grip in the constituency ahead of the next electoral cycle, as party delegates overwhelmingly endorsed his return bid without opposition.
The primary, conducted under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was marked by a strong show of unity among party faithful and supporters in the constituency.
Political observers say the unchallenged victory signals growing confidence within the party ranks over Abejide’s leadership and influence across Yagba Federal Constituency.
