Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has relieved his Political Adviser, Sunusi Surajo Kwankwaso, of his duties and approved the appointment of Mustapha Bakwana as his successor.

The development was confirmed on Tuesday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, who said the decision takes immediate effect.

According to Bature, the change is part of Governor Yusuf’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and reposition his administration for improved service delivery in the state.

He added that Bakwana is expected to bring fresh energy and strategic direction to the role, while working closely with the Governor to advance the administration’s political objectives.

No official reason was given for the removal of Kwankwaso, who had served as Political Adviser since the inception of the administration.

Governor Yusuf urged party members and stakeholders to give their full support to the new Political Adviser as he assumes office.
