The African Action Congress (AAC) has asked President Bola Tinubu for permission to hold the inauguration of its presidential campaign council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on November 11.
The party disclosed the request in a statement issued on Wednesday by its National Secretary, Oshiokhue Ikpeminoghena.
The proposed event would take place at the seat of Nigeria’s presidency, subject to approval from President Tinubu.
The AAC’s request comes as political parties make preparations for campaign activities ahead of the next presidential election.
However, it remains unclear whether the President has approved the proposed use of the Presidential Villa for the inauguration.
