The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organization announced a series of zonal town hall meetings as part of the Allied Peoples Movement’s (APM) campaign for the 2027 presidency.
Speaking to the press on September 20, 2026, campaign officials outlined a schedule intended to promote grassroots mobilization and direct engagement with citizens across the country’s six geopolitical zones.
“Our engagements will be issue-based and citizen-driven,” said Tony Ehilebo, Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to Engr. Seyi Makinde. “We are focused on critical national issues that affect stability and the wellbeing of all citizens.”
The Campaign Trail
The zonal town hall meetings begin in the North West on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in Katsina, Katsina State. The campaign will subsequently move to:
• South South: Uyo, Akwa Ibom State (Friday, Sept. 25)
• North Central: Lafia, Nasarawa State (Monday, Sept. 28)
• South East: Enugu, Enugu State (Wednesday, Sept. 30)
Dates for the remaining zones will be announced in the coming weeks.
A Message of “Reset”
The campaign, led by Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and his running mate Alh. Lawal Daura, is built on the theme “Resetting Nigeria.” The organization says its goal is to promote leadership that is accessible, accountable and transparent.
“Our campaign belongs to the people,” Ehilebo said. He added that recent successes, including a weekend victory in a Bauchi State House of Assembly bye-election, indicate growing support for the ticket.
The campaign has invited all Nigerians to participate in the upcoming town halls to discuss priorities and policies.
