Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper Withdrawing Ransom in Kwara

Police in Kwara State have arrested a suspected kidnapper while he was allegedly withdrawing ransom money at a Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal in Ilorin, the state capital.

The suspect, identified as Muhamodu Sanni, was arrested by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command during the transaction.

According to the police, Sanni was allegedly attempting to withdraw ransom proceeds when officers moved in and arrested him.

The arrest is part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to track and disrupt criminal networks involved in kidnapping and ransom payments across the state.

Police authorities said the suspect is currently assisting investigators with information that could lead to the identification and arrest of other members of the alleged kidnapping syndicate.

The command is expected to provide further details as investigations continue.

Authorities have also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police and other security agencies.
