Former Vice President and presidential hopeful of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has commenced an intensive grassroots campaign in support of the party’s chairmanship candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Dr. Moses Paul.

Atiku was spotted on Thursday at LEA Primary School, Wasa, Abuja, mobilising voters and rallying support for Dr. Paul ahead of the upcoming AMAC Chairmanship election scheduled for 21st February 2026.

The development comes just days after another prominent ADC chieftain and presidential hopeful, Mr. Peter Obi, joined community members in solidarity walks to endorse the same candidate.

The coordinated show of support by both ADC leaders is seen as part of broader efforts to consolidate the ADC’s presence at the grassroots level, while simultaneously raising political awareness for the platform they intend to use to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
