Veteran Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will win the 2027 general elections and unseat President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Okonkwo argued that the “true test” of the ADC would come under its new leadership led by former Senate President David Mark.
Although the party failed to secure any seat in the 16 August by-elections—where the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) won 12 constituencies across nine states—Okonkwo dismissed the setback, saying the primaries were conducted before the current leadership took charge.
“We are going to form the next government in Nigeria and send Tinubu to Bourdillon,” he declared.
He further claimed the ADC now has structures across all 36 states, naming former Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi as the party’s figurehead in Rivers. Asked whether the party stood a real chance, Okonkwo replied: “We stand a chance in every election in Nigeria.”
