The Federal Government has released the results of this year’s National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Federal Unity Colleges, with 13 pupils scoring above 200 and 52 others involved in exam malpractice.

The Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Ahmad, announced the results during a press briefing in Abuja, alongside the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Professor Ibrahim Wushishi.

According to the minister, a total of 64,578 pupils registered, while 61,290 sat for the examination conducted on June 14. Rivers State recorded the highest number of cheating cases with 50 candidates involved, while two others were from Lagos.

“This year, 13 candidates scored 202 out of the total 210, which is the highest, while 27 scored the lowest mark of one,” Ahmad revealed.

The minister also announced the release of the results for the Federal Government Academy (FGA) Suleja entrance exam, where 3,141 out of 3,421 registered pupils sat for the test. The top score was 194, while the lowest remained one.

She reaffirmed the government’s admission guidelines: 60% on merit, 30% based on state equality, and 10% for exigencies.

Ahmad directed education officials to fast-track the admission process in line with these criteria.

“Our Federal Unity Colleges remain a top choice for parents nationwide. The government is committed to improving infrastructure, feeding, and teacher quality across these schools,” she assured.
