ABUJA – The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has issued a strong disclaimer against a fraudulent publication circulating on social media and online platforms, falsely claiming to contain the shortlist of candidates for job recruitments that closed on March 17th, 2025.
In a press release signed by Taiwo Hassan, for the Honourable Chairman, dated April 13th, 2025, the Commission emphatically stated that the information contained in these online publications did not originate from the FCSC and should be disregarded entirely.
The FCSC cautioned the public to be vigilant and wary of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers who may request payment from unsuspecting job seekers. The Commission reiterated its long-standing policy of never demanding money from shortlisted candidates at any stage of the recruitment process.
For the avoidance of doubt, the FCSC assured the public that once the shortlisting exercise is officially concluded, successful candidates will be directly informed. Additionally, the Commission emphasized that the official announcement of shortlisted candidates will be made through various reputable media platforms and on the Commission’s official website: www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng.
The FCSC urged the public to rely solely on information disseminated through its official channels and to be extremely cautious of any unsolicited messages or requests for payment related to job recruitment. This disclaimer serves as a crucial warning to protect potential applicants from falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
