-Vows continued loyalty to Peter Obi, sets sights on Kogi East Senate seat*

The Director-General of the OK Movement, High Chief Peter Ameh, has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

Ameh, who is the Kogi East Senatorial candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), announced his resignation in a statement on Sunday, explaining that the decision was necessary to allow him to focus on his legislative campaign.

In the statement, Ameh expressed his readiness to support whoever is appointed by the movement’s leader to succeed him.

“I hereby formally tender my resignation as Director-General of the OK Movement, effective immediately. I humbly accept any individual appointed by my leader to succeed me in this role,” he stated.

Ameh paid tribute to the leader of the movement and presidential candidate of the NDC, Mr. Peter Obi, describing his leadership style as the driving force behind the group’s vision.

“I wish to express my profound gratitude to my leader, Mr. Peter Obi, for his exemplary leadership, unwavering integrity, and enduring credibility. These qualities inspired the formation of the OK Movement and have continued to shape its vision and purpose,” Ameh said.

Explaining his next line of action, the former Director-General said: “This decision will enable me to devote the necessary time and energy to my campaign for the Kogi East Senatorial District, where I am the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).”

He reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of the movement, wishing the organization success in its future political engagements.
