The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the governors of Anambra and Osun states, Charles Soludo and Ademola Adeleke, were present at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
Despite belonging to different political parties, the trio were named coordinators of the APC campaign in Rivers, the FCT, Anambra, and Osun states, respectively, in a list released on Tuesday.
Speaking at the event held at the State Banquet Hall in Abuja on Wednesday, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda praised the party’s structure and political reach.
“No political party in Nigeria has our structure. We have over 261,000 party executives, from the national to the ward levels,” Yilwatda said.
He added that the party has 31 governors, alongside two supporting “wingers” from the Southwest and Southeast belonging to the Accord Party and APGA, respectively.
Yilwatda also commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration, stating that it has recorded significant progress in its first three years.
“Never before has a president demonstrated achievements in terms of policies and projects that can be visibly touched, felt, seen, and heard like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
Also present at the inauguration were President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, federal lawmakers, state governors, and other key political figures.
