Nigeria’s Defence Minister, Christopher Musa, has assured families of the 46 pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State that security forces are intensifying efforts to secure their release.
Addressing distraught relatives, Musa said authorities were closely monitoring developments both from the air and on the ground, stressing that those responsible for the kidnapping would be tracked down and brought to justice.
“Both in the sky and on land, we are watching what is going on around here. As quickly as possible, we are going to get them,” the minister said, pledging a swift and coordinated response to the abduction.
