The Permanent Secretary For Ministry of Disaster Management which also overseeing the state State management Emergency Agency BSEMA Sir James Iorpuu PhD has disclosed arrangement that arrangement are in top gear towards establishing Football Club for the Internally Displaced Persons in Benue State.

Dr Iorpuu has reaffirmed that already a prominent person in the State is contacted and has Conceded to the planned to bankroll football Club for Internally Displaced Persons in order for the Club to compete with others and won their competitors and brought glory to the state.

The Permanent Secretary spoke on Tuesday in Makurdi at the BSEMA headquarters while distributing relief materials for onward distribution across the affected Camps in the State.

He further appreciated his boss Governor Hyacinth Alia for his commitment and dedication towards ensuring the welfare of Internally Displaced Persons is taken care of.

According to him, we have established Farm project in six Local government areas are in Guma, Agatu, Kwande, Logo, Makurdi and Gwer West explaining the initiatives will significantly contribute to economic recovery.

Dr Iorpuu used the occasion to wish his staff who involved in an accident speedy recovery emphasising their were on official engagement when the unexpected happened.

Items distributed included large number of noodles, maggi cubes, rice in large quantities, wrappers, Bedsheets, pillow Cases as well as others.

He Therefore Commended the donor agencies for their unflinching support towards ensuring those affected by Humanitarian Crises were adequately protected and provided with social amenities.
