The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results for the 2026 First Series Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, the examination body announced that candidates who sat for the test would be able to access their results within the next 12 hours.
According to WAEC, the swift release of the results underscores its commitment to enhancing service delivery through the adoption of technology and more efficient examination processes. The council also extended its appreciation to stakeholders for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.
“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours,” the statement read. “Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat.”
The CB-WASSCE for private candidates is a key component of WAEC’s broader efforts to modernize its examination systems and improve the candidate experience through computer-based testing.
Candidates are advised to check their results on official WAEC platforms once they become available.
