Ground and air forces of Operation Hadin Kai successfully repelled a coordinated three-pronged attack by ISWAP terrorists on Buratai in Borno State’s Biu LGA. The assault, targeting the Battalion Headquarters, Institute for Peace and War, and Command Secondary School, was swiftly countered by troops who overpowered the militants with heavy firepower, denying them access to key locations.

During the clash, two terrorist gun trucks were destroyed, while a third was recovered in follow-up operations. Supported by the Air Component Command, ground forces inflicted significant casualties before NAF Super Tucano jets struck fleeing militants near Mangari, eliminating two gun trucks and over 20 terrorists hiding in nearby vegetation. Troops also seized ammunition and supplies from wounded insurgents.

OBSERVERS TIMES confirmed the situation remains under control, with forces maintaining dominance to prevent further threats. A battalion commander dismissed false reports of being overrun, sharing real-time evidence to counter misinformation.
