A leading Nigerian technology expert and policy adviser is set to make history as the youngest registrar ever appointed to the country’s examination body, marking a major generational shift in public sector leadership.
With more than 15 years of post-graduation experience, Mr Aina has built a career at the crossroads of technology, governance, and institutional reform, advising both federal and state governments on digital transformation, system architecture, and operational restructuring.
At the age of 39, he had already emerged as one of Nigeria’s youngest professors of Computer Engineering — a milestone that drew national attention within academic and technology circles.
Now, his expected appointment as registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is being viewed as another landmark moment, positioning him as the youngest person to lead the agency responsible for overseeing Nigeria’s tertiary institution entrance examinations.
Analysts say the development reflects growing confidence in younger technocrats to drive reforms across critical public institutions, particularly in areas linked to digital innovation, efficiency, and institutional accountability.
