President Bola Tinubu has lauded the men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their unwavering dedication and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation. Speaking at the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) conference in Abuja on Wednesday, the president highlighted the crucial role security personnel play in maintaining the country’s territorial integrity.
Acknowledging the ongoing challenges posed by terrorism, banditry, and other security threats, Tinubu called on all Nigerians to support and encourage the armed forces. “Yes, we are challenged by terrorism, banditry, and others. We recognise that,” he said. “Are we doing something about it? Are we inspiring the armed forces? Are we encouraging them to fight? They put their lives on the line to defend the sovereignty of this country. It is our responsibility.”
The president’s remarks underscore the nation’s commitment to backing its security agencies as they continue their tireless efforts to protect Nigerians and maintain peace.
