A political aspirant, Sanan, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency seat after purchasing his nomination form on Monday.

Following the move, Sanan held a meeting with Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, in a development seen by observers as part of early consultations ahead of the race. He was accompanied by supporters and political associates.

Sanan, who has built a reputation among his backers as a grassroots mobiliser, said his ambition is driven by a commitment to public service rather than personal gain.

According to his supporters, his campaign is expected to focus on improving livelihoods and delivering tangible development across the constituency, which spans parts of Kogi East.

“He has always put people first,” one associate said, describing the aspirant as a leader whose priority is to uplift communities and reposition the constituency for broader progress.

The Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro seat is expected to attract heightened interest in the coming months as political activity intensifies ahead of the next election cycle.
